About Me
My love for horses started at the age of six when I attended a equestrian camp. I was smiling no matter what we did, including mucking stalls. Soon after, I began taking riding lessons. I was hooked!
My first show was two years later in Katy, Texas. It was exhilarating. It was time to show off what I had learned. I instantly fell in love with the competitive nature of the whole environment and was hungry for more.
Being an equestrian competitor in high pressure situations has taught me so much about myself. I have learned perseverance, time management, thinking outside the box and to expect the unexpected. My drive for improvement has taught me to reflect on each ride and use constructive direction the next time I throw my leg over the saddle. I am thankful for all I've learned from every show, every horse and every trainer.
Through the years, I have gone from riding the beginner lesson horses to working with every horse at the barn, ranging from pasture horses to well-trained show horses, even my own horse Amadeus RA, a Reiner. These horses represent a wide variety of disciplines, from reining to saddle seat equitation, and have all contributed to my diversity as a rider.
I am currently a Freshman at The Woodlands High School in The Woodlands, Texas. When not on a horse or at school, I am actively volunteering, reading books and spending time with my family and friends.
Riding horses at the collegiate level would allow me to further develop my skills and bond with a team of like-minded people. I am eager to learn an prepare for my future as a horse trainer. After all, I've been thinking about it since I was six!
I would be extremely grateful to be considered for a position on a collegiate team.
